Two Little Boys
This is one of those sounds that's been around forever but has been made famous most
by Rolf Harris. Couldn't find a good tab for this anywhere so came up with this one. Let
know what you think!
C
Two Little Boys - had two little toys
C7 F
Each had a wooden horse
C
Gaily they played - each summer day
D G
Warriors both - of course
C
One little chap - had a mishap
C7 F
broke off his horse's head
C
Wept for his toy - then cried with joy
D G
When his young playmate said :
C
Do you think I could leave you cryin'?
C7 F
When there's room on my horse for two
C
Climb up here, Joe and don't be cryin'
D G
We can mend up your horse with glue
C
When we grow up - we'll both be soldiers
C7 F
Our horses will not be toys
C
And I wonder if we'll re- member
D G
When we were Two Little Boys."
C
Long years passed - war came so fast
C7 F
Bravely they marched away
C
Cannons roared loud and in that wild crowd
D G
wounded and dyin' Joe lay
C
up goes a shout, - a horse dashed out
C7 F
Out from the ranks of Blue
C
Galloped away - to where Joe lay
D G
Then came a voice he knew:
C
Do you think I could leave you dyin'
C7 F
When there's room on my horse for two
C
Climb up here, Joe - we'll soon be flyin'
D G
I can go just as fast with two
C
Can't you see, Jack? I'm all a-tremble
C7 F
It may be the flash and noise
C
Or maybe it's cause I re - member
D G
When we were Two Little Boys.
